Half-Price Introductory Lesson
If you have never tried fencing and want to see what it's about, sign up for a half-price introductory lesson with one of our coaches, pay online, and book your slot. Contact us to find out more.
Beginner Course
Once you've tried fencing and want to carry on with the sport, then purchase our Beginner Package of four individual lessons, and one of our coaches will teach you the basics of foil fencing. All beginners start with foil and move onto the other weapons later if they choose. Once you have completed your beginner course, or if you are an experienced fencer that would like to fence for CFA, then become a club member.
CFA Club Membership
Club membership allows you to use club equipment, spar at CFA as many times a week as you like, and compete in competitions. Membership costs R550 per month, and can be purchased monthly or as discounted packages.
Individual Lessons
What sets CFA apart from other clubs in South Africa is the quality of our coaching. If you want to improve your fencing then you should book individual lessons with our coaches.
Most fencers get 1-2 lessons per week, minimum.
Fencing is an individual sport and best learned directly, one-on-one, with a master of the sport.
R300 for a full 30-min inidividual lesson
Visiting Fencers
CFA regularly hosts fencers from abroad and welcomes guests from other clubs. Simply pay a fee of R120 and bring your own kit, or enquire about renting from us.
