Epee & Foil

JARRYD NEW

One of South Africa's top fencers of all time, Jarryd New represented South Africa in both foil and epee on the world stage for well over a decade. He is also a multiple SA national championship titles in both weapons

Foil

JACQUES VILJOEN

A contemporary of Jarryd New, Viljoen is a foilest who won multiple SA national championships as well as UCT Sportsman of the two times. He emigrated to Europe in 2012 and competed on the world circuit for over a decade. He has since returend to Cape Town and is assistant coach at CFA

Epee

RACHEL BARLOW

Rachel trained with Misha in the late 90s and 2000s, before qualifying for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. She now lives in Gauteng and continues to be involved in SA fencing.

Epee

SHI-YA HUANG

A contemporary of Rachel and Alison. Shi-Ya competed internationally for SA over a number of years and won multiple SA national championships.

ALISON BARNES

Alison is a former student of Misha's who qualfied for and competed at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games.

Epee & Foil

GISELLE VICATOS

Giselle has won multiple national championships in women's foil and epee and has been a staple on the national team for years. She still trains at CFA.
